PLATARESTI  Monastery - Plataresti commune, Calarasi county.
Convent for nuns, founded by Matei Basarab Voivode and by his wife Elena Doamna, in the year 1646. Monastery in ruins. The church of the monastery underwent repairs and restoration works. The paintings inside the church were reconditioned at that time, too.
