Cheia  Ghighiu  Pissiota  Sinaia  Suzana  Zamfira 

CHEIA  Monastery - Maneciu commune, Cheia village, Cheia resort, Prahova county.
It dates from the 17th century; the present church was build by Damaschin and Justin Barsan from Salistea Sibiului in 1835. Painted in 1837 by Naum.
Dedication days: “The Holy Trinity”, the second day after Whitsuntide and “Assumption of the Virgin”, 15 August.

GHIGHIU  Monastery - Barcanesti commune, Ghighiu village, Prahova county.
Convent for nuns, founded by Hieromandrite Arsenie from Cernica in 1817. The paintings of the church were performed by Gh.Tatarescu in 1865. Rebuild after the earthquakes of 1940 and 1977.
Dedication day: “The Curing Spring”, the first Friday after Easter.

PISSIOTA  Monastery - Poienarii Buchii commune, Prahova county.
Convent for nuns, founded by Nicholas and Zoe Pissiota in 1928-1929. Between 1928 and 1948 it was for monks. In 1948 it was changed for nuns. From 1962 the monastery was closed and reopened in 1993.
Dedication day: “Birth of the Virgin”, 8 September.

SINAIA  Monastery - Sinaia town, Prahova county.
Sword Bearer Mihail Cantacuzino between 1690-1695 founded Sinaia Monastery, convent for monks. The enameled brick ornamentation and the niches with outside paintings represent the characteristic features.
Dedication days: “The Holy Trinity”, the second day after Whitsuntide, “Assumption of the Virgin”, 15 August and “The Transfiguration”, 6 August.

SUZANA  Monastery - Maneciu commune, Prahova county.
Convent for nuns, founded by Stanca Arsica from Sacele in 1740.
Dedication days: “Saint Nicholas”, 6 December and “The Holy Virgin's Veil”, 1 October.

Convent for nuns, founded by archimandrite Eftimie in 1855.
